Reopening on 23. August 2007

The House of World Cultures is back again!
Berlin landmark, former convention hall and a centre of germans outer european art and cultures is situated in Berlin along the south bank of the Spree, at the northern part of the Tiergarten.

Now it is so far on 23. August 2007- after a year of renovation and remodeling - the House of World Cultures on the south bank of the Spree reopens the doors for the general public.

In the course of structural measures the building fabric has been essentially renewed and remodeled with a lasting effect.

Particularly the M & E installations were basically renewed and upgraded on requirements of multifunctional, unlimited exhibition and modern management. The assembly of the highest possible security for visitors and staff members of the House of World Cultures had top priority.

The ambiguous state of repair, the fragmentary documentation in the past and the assignment to keep to the budget in constituted time posed new challenges for the team of SMV and all other participants. All these challenges have been passed with flying colors.

By reason of comprehensive experience in project management and because of emersed cooperation of SMV, the client and all other participants create adapted methods of resolutions to achieve sustained success of the project.

The user of House of World Cultures gets back a building outdated once susceptible to average serviceably, with new, contemporary standards and varied possibilities of utilisation.
