Project description
The traffic concept for Berlin designed by DB Verkehrsbau GmbH includes the partially subterrestrial running north-south railway transition of the city. At the cross of the north-south and the already existing east-west crossing the new Lehrter Station is to be built. This central traffic junction joins tramway, railway, subway and urban railway.

This project includes extensive basic construction works, the construction of the railway building and of the bordering office buildings.

Benefits for the client
SMV as project community PCS together with the DB AG project management ensures the opening of the station at the beginning of the Football World Cup 2006 within given bugets. Therefor complex construction processes have to be scheduled exact to the day up to one year ahead to be able to consider track blockings in the time table of the long-distance traffic.
