JAHO Stadthaus AND Stadtloft – BERLIN

The construction project is located in the heart of Berlin directly next to the S-Bahn station Jannowitzbrücke in the immediate vicinity of Alexanderplatz. To the north, the construction site adjoins Holzmarktstrasse. To the east, the construction site borders on a listed residential building. To the south, the construction site adjoins the Jannowitzbrücke S-Bahn station and the access to the station. To the west, the construction field borders a city square.

This is a six- to 11-story S-shaped building in the center and a six-story building flanking the landmarked residential building. The site will have a generous passageway leading to the S-Bahn station, which is also a listed building.

The meandering shape of the townhouse will create so-called "pocket parks" as green recreational areas. Air spaces extending over several floors are created. The basement will house a local grocery store. Highly flexible co-working spaces are planned as office spaces, as well as conventional offices with building depths of 10 m, 15 m, and 17.50 m. The office spaces are designed to accommodate all common office types. They make it possible to accommodate all common office types, such as individual offices, combi-offices, team offices and open space. The buildings are connected with a three-story underground parking garage that extends from property line to property line. 

The design will use BIM. LEED Gold, WELL Gold and Wired Score Gold certification is being sought.
