Sony Center Masterplan – Berlin

Owner Oxford Properties acquired the Sony Center in 2017 and worked with architect Helmut Jahn to develop a new masterplan concept for the entire complex.

I never stop thinking about the possible further development of my architecture.
— Helmut Jahn

The goal is to maintain the sophisticated, modern workspace that reflects Berlin's culture and history, but also respects the city's transformation and its future. The ambition for the Sony Center is to become a global landmark that reflects and amplifies everything the dynamic, new Berlin represents.

The project is set up as a multi-project. On the one hand, the office areas in the Bahn Tower will be redesigned for Deutsche Bahn in line with current usage requirements. In the Forum, the landscaping will be completely revised. The commercial areas will be supplemented with new and innovative gastronomy and activity areas. The Sony Center aims to establish itself as a destination for tourists, as well as for Berlin residents.
