“With kind words and a smile you can reach quite a few places. With her, that's not enough, you have to deliver, otherwise you'll be in trouble. She demands - consistently and uncomfortably - and thus makes everything and everyone better. And that includes me, even if it hurts at times.”

Christian Wernicke knows Jeanette Baranowsky

Precise. As a child, she rode her bike to the Havel River in the pouring rain to watch "the aliens." Their synchronicity fascinated her, the perfection of togetherness, precise as clockwork. It would never have occurred to her at the time that she herself could be something like these rowers, who appeared being from outer space to her. Then, at the age of 30, she once again saw a few of those aliens on the Griebnitzsee; and not too long later, Jeanette Baranowsky was the stroke woman of a rowing team in Munich. At 7:00 in the morning, she now felt the power of precision, of the perfectly coordinated team; fought again and again against the desire to look around, to enjoy the sight of this human clockwork, because she knew that by doing so she would disturb the rhythm and reduce the performance. Apart from perfectly coordinated systems - starting with a huge transparent children's clock with colorful gears - she loves pens, in fact everything to do with writing. And is an architect. Everything fits together pretty well at Jeanette Baranowsky.
