EISWERK – Munich

Paulaner's former microbrewery EISWERK is located directly opposite the main administration building - on the other side of the Auer-Mühlbach. The building with an area of 562 m² is being converted and renovated into a modern event venue including a beer seminar room.

This relatively small project holds many special features. The oldest parts of the building date back to 1880, and the future event space has a historic capped ceiling that will be extensively renovated.

In the course of the renovation, the facade on the Auer-Mühlbach will also be demolished. In order to be able to ensure a working space at this location, Big Packs will be placed in the creek, bisecting the creek along the EISWERK. This will be done as part of the creek sweep, which empties the creek.

Because the building's existing foundations are no longer structurally sound, micro-bored piles will be installed on which the new EISWERK will stand.

In addition, the EISWERK houses the listed Linde ice machine from 1881 - the oldest refrigeration machine in the world in its original location.
